Every adult member must buy at least a
minimum of 100 shares on joining the SACCO. The purchase of full minimum shares is what
qualifies one as a full member of the SACCO. Members can obtain additional shares at any
time by depositing money in the bank and indicating the number of shares they would want
to buy. Currently, each share is UGX.15,000.
Dividends on shares are distributed annually to members after the AGM.
