Julius is a graduate of Makerere University with a Bachelors of Business Computing Degree (First Class Honors), a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) and The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) of the UK. where he was the Deputy Director and Later Director of Treasury Services from April 2011 to August 2019.
He is a Public Financial Management Specialist and currently consulting with Governments in Africa. He is also consultant in the Private Sector on Financial Management Systems and Transformational Leadership.
Julius is a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at SabuntaAfrica LTD, where he leads a team of coaches in Personal Financial Management and Business Growth. He is also the founder/ Co-founder of Msingi Poultry LTD, Mbegu Foundation LTD, Mbegu Financial Services LTD and Karibu Microfinance LTD among others. He is the Chairman of Harvest Ministries (Naalya) Multipurpose Cooperative Society LTD, a Worship Harvest Ministries Savings Association which was founded in February 2021 and has mobilized over 765 Savers with total assets of UGX 1.7 Billion as at 31st September 2021.
Julius is desirous to help as many young people from different communities as possible to be employable or even help them start their own Businesses and generally improve their financial situation. He does this by Designing and Implementing Community Projects that mobilize young people to form saving groups and use the savings to start small businesses.
Together with his friend Christopher Kaweesa with whom he fellowships with at Worship Harvest Ministries, they invited and challenged a total of 110 youth in Magere to start Magere Youth Savings and Loans Association (MYSLA).
This community initiative has transformed many lives through business Startups and employment opportunities and reduced the Crime rates in the Community by over 95% according to the Officer in Charge of Magere Police Station and drug and substance abuse. Julius has recently started another Community Initiative, Kweyimusa Saving Group which is helping a group of Selected Sports Journalists in Uganda to save, buy land and build homes.
He is a husband to Peace and father to Six children Ryan, Ronah, Gabriella, Emmanuella, Janelle and Adrielle.
